LUCY - FOUNDER

Lucy and Naomi’s eyes first met over a crowded pen pot on the BBC News desks. It was there that we learned (literally on our feet) that effective storytelling isn’t an art: it’s a discipline. It takes muscle to earn the respect of your audience. To stay relevant and credible you’ve got to answer the questions: Why you? Why now? Who cares?

After leaving the newsroom Lucy went on to commission BBC programmes, with a graceful pivot into advertising where she led creative content for the likes of Sainsbury’s, Nando’s and The Body Shop. Naomi became a documentary director making shows for the BBC, Channel 4, Sky and Amazon. Along the way we’ve seen plenty of soulless content fail to land. Best believe we’ve been caught up in some bloated processes that pained our journo sensibilities.

One day it dawned on us. We had 20 years of storytelling experience between us. We were sitting on a massive global network of untapped talent and original stories. We knew we could help brands craft rich narratives using the clarity and cultural intelligence of our beloved newsdesk.

So we set up our own.
